The University of Leiden was created in 1575 and is in the top-100 of the world rankings of the most influential universities. The university offers almost 80 master's programs in English, including in the areas of regional studies, law, mathematics, psychology, arts, life sciences, chemistry, computer science, education, international relations etc.

International students from countries outside Europe with high academic performance who apply for face-to-face masters at the University of Leiden have the opportunity to receive a scholarship of excellence. There are three levels of financing:
- 10,000 euros of the tuition fee
- 15,000 euros of the tuition fee
- 100% tuition cost (minus the tuition fee set by the state)
The scholarship does not cover other expenses, such as housing, transportation or maintenance.
Requirements: have high academic performance at the previous level of studies because of the master profile you are applying. It is recommended that the candidate be among the best 10% graduates in their program.
Deadlines:
- October 1 for programs starting in February
- February 1 for programs starting in September
