William J. Harrington Medical Student Observership Program: Medical Observations in Miami

The University of Azuay supports its medical students to apply to the medical training program William J. Harrington Medical Student Observership Program in Miami. They are accepting applications for the period December 2024 - May 2025 for the in-person training program.
Requirements to apply:
- Being a medical student.
- Have at least one year of experience in clinical rotations.
Deadline: July 1, 2024
Application process:
Send the requested documents in physic, to get to the University of Miami:
- A recent photo
- Copy of passport, and US visa if you already have it
- Results of the TOEFL IBT English test (minimum 79-80) or face-to-face TOEFL (minimum 550). On the day of the exam, you must request that the results be sent directly to the University of Miami - Latin Training, code 5802.
- Letter of recommendation from a volunteer teacher from the Harrington Program in Ecuador (may be Dr. César Toral).
- Letter of recommendation from the School Coordinator or in charge of clinical rotations.
- Letter of recommendation from the Dean of the Faculty, must include the approval of the observations to be made with duration of each one (in English).
- Certificate of grades in English. You can request it at the Secretary of your Faculty directly in English.
- Resume in English with list of publications.
- A brief essay about your long-term plans (for 10-15 years) in the field of Medicine. You should include where you plan to work as a doctor and what types of activities are of interest to you: private, research, academic, or a combination.
- Application form (Annex 4). Please don't forget to sign it!
- Application fee (Annexes 7 and 8).
