About us
The Department of International Relations of the University of Azuay offers students the exciting possibility of carrying out a semester of studies in more than 40 universities around the world, with which we maintain close agreements. Likewise, we are delighted to welcome foreign students who wish to participate in our academic programs or immerse themselves in the experience of learning Spanish.
Agreements
It seeks to establish agreements with foreign universities, research centers, and academic support institutions, while also trying to maintain existing agreements.
Foreign students
We give support to foreign students that are part of our community or prospective students who want to study at UDA. We also provide information about living and lodging in Cuenca.
International Friend
There are students within the University of Azuay who are interested in foreign cultures, like to meet people from other countries, want to learn other languages, etc.
Through Amigo Internacional, students can fulfill these wishes and open doors for future contacts, as well as undoubtedly help a foreign student in his adaptation within a foreign city.

Study a semester abroad
TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY MOBILITY CALL FOR A SEMESTER, YOU MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
- Be a regular student of the current semester upon request.
- That the subjects to be replaced are first registration and correspond to the fifth level of studies or higher.
- Not having completed third registration during their entire academic career.
- Not having been sanctioned by the University of Azuay.
- Among the documents to present, you must write a motivation letter, in the button below we leave you some recommendations.
Short stays abroad
TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY CALL FOR SHORT STAYS, YOU MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
- Be enrolled at the University of Azuay.
- Not having third registrations throughout your academic career.
You can participate in short-stay programs as many times as you want.
FAQ
standardized tests
English programs will ask for proficiency results such as TOEFL (Test Of English as a Foreign Language) or IELTS (International English Language Testing System) To take these exams it is important that you reserve the date in advance.
Some programs require a general knowledge exam grade. GRE (General Record Examiner).
